Mood in the office is quite sombre today...... cos big boss gave all the bosses a 15 min lecture. All because one of the bosses tried to bullshit the users during a presentation but was bullshitting the wrong thing. HAHA.

SG: .....the rosemary turkey uses the rosemary herbs to roast...... i have not tried it myself but my colleague said the butterball turkey is nicer. the butterball turkey is a brand of turkey, like colgate and darlie
CT: you mean the turkey got peppermint taste?
SG: no no, i mean toothpaste got many brands, but the most famous is colgate and darlie...... so this butterball is a brand, like colgate and darlie lah

In my naive years, i resisted any mention of getting work done by consultants, which we could easily do ourselves.
Why would we pay them $100 an hour for stuff that we know how to do ourselves. But as the years passed, i came to realise it is not how much you had to pay, but its getting the job done that mattered.
If we do not have the time to do it, then regardless of the cost, it has to be done somehow.
Glad that my staff, who has been resisting talks of engaging the consultant, is on MC today. Makes the discussion with the consultant later today that much easier :x |
